3p02 staff


Otto is 3P's official festival mammal. His only desire is to play on the grass with one or several of his shredded toys. In his spare time, he writes Assembly code and protects the Broening family.

Composer Benjamin Broening, Third Practice's Artistic Director and Founder, is entering his fourth year at the University of Richmond. Dr. Broening's compositions have been performed nationwide and the worl d over, both in the electronic community and beyond. Dr. Broening and his wife Amy welcomed their twin boys, Alex and Max, into the world the day before 3P. For Ben's offical biography, click here.

Matthew McCabe is 3P's technical director and web designer. He is also a composer, and spends his time programming, writing acoustic and electronic music and studying acoustics. He has written several piec es of software that can be found at the Music Lab's Software Projects Page.

Jake Monaco, University of Richmond student and rock music icon, is one of four Music Technology assistants that work in our Lab. He is serving on the technical staff for the festival.


Carlisle Greaves is a University of Richmond sophomore. Carlisle is originally from Trinidad & Tobago, and is an accomplished singer. He performs with the University's male a cappella group, the Octav es, and will be serving on Third Practice's technical staff this year.


Tom Gregorio is currently a sophomore at Richmond, and is originally from New Canaan, Connecticuit. Tom plays violin and guitar, and sings in UR's male a cappella group the Octaves. Tom will also be on 3P 's technical staff this year.

Adam Claar also works in the Music Technology lab. A trumpeter and composer, Adam spent the Spring 2002 semester abroad. He will be a member of 3P's technical staff this year.
